Day 1 : Ankara - Cappadocia
Arrive and transfer to downtown. Tour the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations' Hittite artifacts and the Mausoleum of Ataturk, father of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia, visiting a 13th century caravan inn en route. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (L,D)
Day 2 : Cappadocia
After having breakfast in the hotel visit to the Pigeon Valley near Uchisar; then proceed to the Open Air Museum in Goreme through Avcilar Valley and visit to the early Christian churches decorated with unique frescoes depicting various scenes from the Bible. Lunch in a restaurant and then visit to Kaymakli Underground City, the place early Christians hid from persecutors. Pasabagi in Zelve region and Avanos. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B,L,D)
Day 3 : Cappadocia / Ankara - Return
After breakfast transfer to the airport in Kayseri or drive on to Ankara (For Ankara option, lunch is inclusive) |
